Main field of activities of our university: Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University (http://www.onu.edu.ua) educates specialists for 20 departments and 41 specialties. Educational activity is also conducted in the preparation department for foreign citizens, retraining; advanced training and the second higher education are available on the basis of complex “School-college-university”. Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University Centre “Innovation office”(http://www.innocentre.onu.edu.ua) enhances participation of ONU in international projects and programs, develops the suggestion regarding participation in international cooperation in the sphere of intellectual property within the framework of the international programs, projects and professional associations, takes part in execution of these programs and projects.

Information about the intended TEMPUS projects: Work in following national priorities:

2. For Joint Projects: Modernization of curricula: Curricula reform including ECTS, 3 cycle and Diploma Recognition

1) Curricula reform in “Medical and Pharmaceutical Chemistry”;
2) Modernisation of curricula and introduction of ECTS, revision of bachelor curricula and existing relevant teaching courses for “Atomic physics” (bachelor level); “Physics of semiconductors and electricians” “Nanophysics” (bachelor and master); medical physics (bachelor);
3) Creation of Master program in “Accounting and Auditing”; Revision of Bachelor curricula and existing relevant teaching courses in “Accounting and Auditing”;
4) Creation of Master program in “Law Science and Human Rights”; Revision of Bachelor curricula and existing relevant teaching courses in “Law Science and Human Rights”;
5) Creation of Master program in “Management and Business Administration”; Revision of Bachelor curricula and existing relevant teaching courses in “Management”;

For Structural Measures: Higher Education and Society: Knowledge triangle: education, innovation, research; development partnership with enterprises.

Projects description:
Making easier the way “from idea to business and society”, to organize legal and managerial support at each link of the technology transfer chain from Ukrainian universities to business through pioneer operations (starting from the IP ownership rights registration and finalize by negotiating contracts between business and universities). The main idea is to create a project partnership of interdisciplinary actors and subjects of innovative activity, including: Universities’ innovation and technology transfer offices; lawyers, engaged to the reforms of the Ukrainian innovative legislation (Institute of the Legal Provision of Innovative Development of Ukraine of the National Academy of Law Sciences, Kharkiv); Ukrainian leaders of TT with a strong experienced IP subdivisions; experienced in technology transfer and intellectual property European institutions, in order to adapt best European practice and share best Ukrainian leaders’ experience of TT for making easier the step-by-step process of TT. The key distinction of this project will be development and sharing experience of legal and managerial provision during technology transfer operations, that is very often the main barrier for it. The operations of knowledge and technology transfer in Ukraine and abroad have to be accompanied by managerial and legal support (concretely, with the participation of the Scientific and Research Institute of the Legal Provision of Innovative Development of Ukraine, Kharkiv – member of the working group for creation the Innovation Code of Ukraine). The success stories of technology transfer must be widely disseminated and announced (as well in the handbook “TIPs for real technology transfer for Ukrainian researchers”). In the framework of one of the National project “Futurecity”: under the priority “New quality of life”, operated by the State agency for investment and national project of Ukraine (http://www.ukrproject.gov.ua): Creation of IPR-helpdesk for functioning and international development of Ukrainian technoparks: i.e. Chemo-Paul (Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University http://chemopol.com.ua), technopark Slobozhanshina (http://www.ukr-rus-technopark.com/), technopolis “Pyatihatki” (http://technopolis5.com), etc.

Development the Life-long learning programs with a Coordination Centre for Distance Learning (http://e-learning.onu.edu.ua) – part of the Institute of Innovative and Postgraduate Education of Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University (http://onu.edu.ua/en/structure/institutes/iipo), which consists of:
- Chairs of: clinical psychology, economics and modeling of market relations; computer networks and information technology; social theories; economic cybernetics and applied economy;
- College of enterprise and social work: preparation of the bachelors of specialties: finance and credit, applied mathematics, accounting, social work.
